INGREDIENTS: green tea
Sencha is one of the most famous types of green tea, originally consumed by Buddhist priests as an aid in achieving spiritual tranquility, and today considered a source of inspiration and vitality.
Sencha means boiled tea: Sen = boiled, Cha = tea.
Sencha leaves are folded lengthwise, while drying on a warm bed, then heated in wood-fired vats to stop the fermentation process. Sencha is immediately recognizable by its long, well-developed, grass-green leaves.
After soaking in hot water, the full structure of the leaf becomes visible, and the solution has a light yellow color.
A fresh grassy taste with a fine sweetness is a delight for every Sencha enthusiast.
