Pai Mu Tan, or Bai Mudan, is the most famous type of white tea. Throughout history, it has been a favorite beverage of Chinese emperors, and in modern times, it has gained more and more fans worldwide every day.
The tea plant variety called Chaicha or Narcissus grows in the Fujian province and is also known as "White Peony".
After harvesting, the leaves and flowers are dried in the sun or in enclosed spaces without the use of machinery. The leaf has various shades of green in different structures, it is voluminous, and its tips are elongated and silver in color.
The infusion of Pai Mu Tan has a brilliant amber color, and the taste is full, floral, and elegantly spicy.
The same leaves can be used 2-3 times with slightly longer steeping.
