How to use cast iron kettles
Our handmade artworks are produced following the Japanese tradition. About forty individual intensive production steps turn each of these products into a colorful, unique product.
Properties of cast iron
Cast iron stands out from other materials because of its ability to retain heat and cold for long periods - making it perfect for cooking and baking, but also for cooling food and drinks. In addition, cast iron is very durable.
Instruction manual
Before using a cast iron product, you should rinse it several times with warm water and dry it thoroughly. Cast iron can be used with all heat sources, except microwaves. If you want to use a cast iron product on the stove, always put a little oil or water on the inner bottom of the product before exposing it to heat. Allow hot cast iron products to cool before rinsing with water. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as pouring cold liquids into a hot cast iron kettle, as this can damage the enamel layer. Always dry the product thoroughly after each use. Avoid using cleaning agents and rough sponges. This could damage the coating.
Following these simple instructions will allow you to enjoy our unique and beautiful product.
