INGREDIENTS: onion, tomato flakes (tomato paste, cornstarch), chili peppers, garlic, red pepper, black peppercorn, oregano, basil, parsley
ALLERGENS: nuts, celery and celery products, mustard and mustard products.
Chimichurri is a well-known South American sauce. This sauce is primarily associated with grilling and marinating food.
To prepare a marinade, mix equal parts of olive oil and red wine vinegar, and add Harissa chimichurri spice blend according to your preference. Let it sit for a few hours (preferably overnight) to allow the spices to infuse. Season with salt and raw brown sugar to taste.
To make chimichurri sauce for serving with grilled food, mix two tablespoons each of oil, vinegar, and Harissa chimichurri spice blend. Add water gradually until you achieve the desired consistency. Briefly simmer the sauce. Optionally, you can add thinly sliced tomatoes and fresh bell peppers. Serve the sauce chilled.
