Pyramid Salt
Pyramid Salt
INGREDIENTS: salt (NaCl)
The pyramid-shaped salt is the so-called flaky salt.
Such crystallized salts can be formed naturally, but it is very likely that the salt you buy was formed by boiling or evaporating in large greenhouses. Different methods combined with different atmospheric conditions can give differently shaped crystals.
Different shapes are obtained due to the faster crystallization of individual parts of the flake or parts of the crystal, so it is possible to obtain crystals that are fluffy, pyramidal, in the shape of chips and boxes.
Salts crystallized in this way usually contain less trace minerals than other salts, which means that they are saltier, crispier, have a low mass and dissolve quickly.
Salts crystallized in this way are used as a decoration just before serving the dish.
